Your contributions help improve the quality of the Springfield disc golf scene and help grow the sport. Whether it’s new tee signs, additional pin positions, or letting someone see the flight of the disc for the first time, the SDGC is always looking for ways to make the sport we love better locally.
Club members also receive a bag tag, PDGA membership discount, are eligible for the ace pot during weekly leagues and access to SDGC+. Membership for 2023 is $20 in person, or $21 online.
2023 dues are $20 in person, $21 online. Membership runs through the Capital City Challenge, our premier event in October.
The club is actively working with the Springfield Park District to design, create and install new tee signs. This a top priority to ensure new players can enjoy a course without wondering the layout of the course.
UPDATE: Lincoln Park South's new signs were installed in October 2022, and we're working on the other area courses.
The wear and tear on our baskets, some more than two decades old, is starting to show. We're working on replacing these baskets.
UPDATE: Mach X baskets were installed October 2022 at Lincoln Park South, replacing the old Mach II baskets.
We are interested in new opportunities for additional courses in the Springfield area, particularly one that would contrast the current park-style courses at Duncan and Lincoln Park. If you are interested in installing a course in the central Illinois area, we’d love to help you make it a success.
Disc golf is an excellent game for any age, particularly for teens and children. It’s a small cost to start playing, and playing the courses themselves is free. If you are interested in having the club collaborate with you and/or your organization, talk to us >>
